Handmade Egyptian Kyphi Incense Incense was a regular part of ceremony and honoring the divine for the ancient Egyptians. Kyphi (also known as Kapet) was one of the widest used incenses by the ancient Egyptians and many recipes are found inscribed on the walls in the temples of edfu and Philae. This particular recipe was inscribed on the walls at the Temple of Edfu.
